In 1996/1997 four girls entered Xiangfan Children's Welfare Institute. The girls were partly named after the daughter (Wang Fu) of director Wang, the last characters of the four names (Yi, Ru, Xiang and Jie) combined form a Chinese poem. The girls lived between the elderly at the orphanage with approximately 50 other children. Unfortunately Wang Fu Jie developed a high fever as a baby and died, the other three girls were adopted internationally when they were around three years old.
Wang Fu Yi was adopted in 1999 to the Netherlands, Wang Fu Ru and Wang Fu Xiang were adopted to Norway (according to the orphanage) and to the US (according to the CCCWA).
We have been searching for many years for these girls, we would love to connect with them, they are now (2020) probably around 23 years old. During our travels to Xiangfan, we received several babypictures of the Wang girls. We would love to give Wang Fu Xiang and Wang Fu Ru their babypictures, these must be very valuable to them.
